L'Oreal has opened a new center for advanced research in the Institute of Medical Biology located in Biopolis complex, located in Singapore, and belonging to the Agency for Science, Technology and Research.
The new center is part of L'Oréal's strategy to boost ties with local institutions of scientific excellence and internationalize their R & D to approach consumers in each region.
The experience of the Institute of Medical Biology in research on the biology of the skin, with diverse ethnic population of Singapore, complements the L'Oréal interest in understanding the diversity of the human skin. In 2010 already worked on this agreement, through a first association with the Institute for Asian skin rebuild from cell cultures.
L'Oréal scientists have expanded their collaboration with the Institute of Medical Biology (IMB), through 'Cluster Platform Skin Biology Biomedical Research Council', up to the entire scientific community in Singapore.
"We are very pleased with the results we are getting with IMB. Through scientific and technological experience in Singapore are extending our network of collaborations and have expanded the research field of the new center to skin biology, " said the director R & D of L'Oréal in Asia , Stéphane Ortiz.
